The Goa-born winger has been a part of the Hero ISL right from its inception back in 2014, turning up for FC Goa in the first four editions. His impressive performances for the Gaurs in the inaugural Hero ISL season earned him a loan stint with Brazilian side Atlético Paranaense. On his return from Brazil, he was an integral part of the FC Goa side which reached the Hero ISL 2015 final. After making 49 appearances for Goa in the first four seasons, Romeo shifted base to Delhi after the Lions signed him up during the ISL draft. With Lallianzuala Chhangte and Nandhakumar Sekar in fine form last season, Romeo’s game time was restricted to just 471 minutes over 11 matches as he was used mostly as an impact sub by head coach Josep Gombau. He will look to have more of an impact for Odisha FC this time around.
