The club mourns the loss of its Director of Finance and Board member, Mr. Ashok Bajaj who passed away yesterday.

Mr. Bajaj was a key member of our club's setup who over the years contributed immensely using his vast and varied experience in the finance sector. All those who worked and interacted with Ashokji (as he was fondly addressed) shall always remember his keen observations, sense of humor, and problem-solving skills.

Odisha FC expresses its deepest condolences and sends its regards to the family and those near and dear to Mr. Bajaj.

Mr. Rohan Sharma (Club Owner):

"There is no Odisha FC without Ashok Bajaj. In 2015 when we were first interested in buying a football club, Ashok Bajaj took up the task to help us find a club. He guided our purchase and once it was concluded he was by my side through the first three years from 2016 onwards. He provided me with council and friendship during a time I didn’t have many people to turn to for advice.

Ashokji was still an essential part of our club when we moved to Odisha. He served as both a board member and our director of finance. Fans may not have recognized Ashokji as he walked the concourse of the Kalinga, but every staff member and player knew how valuable he was to the club.

It’s hard to put into words how much of an impact he had on the club, but I’m glad he got to see us lift the Hero Super Cup trophy due to his hard work throughout the years.

I hope Ashokji had a peaceful transition into the next world, and may his spirit watch over the club always.

We will miss you Ashokji.
"

Mr. Raj Athwal (Club President):

"Ashokji has been instrumental during my time at Odisha Football Club. His advice and guidance were invaluable, and I will always be grateful to a kind and caring person who was available anytime to discuss all things football and life in general."
