December 24 2023
The Kalinga Warriors settled for a point in Kolkata against East Bengal FC keeping their unbeaten streak intact.

The game started off with the visitors dominating the run of play and enjoying majority of the possession. Odisha came close to scoring on several moments in the first period.

In the ninth minute, Isak's mazy run into the box beating two EBFC defenders did manage to get a shot away on goal but the keeper collected the attempt with ease.

Amrinder was called into action when Nandha managed to dribble past our defenders and dislodged an attempt at the near post but the India International managed to get it out of danger.

In the 48th minute, Amrinder was tested again by the attacking duo of Borja Herrera and Jose Antonio Pardo with a shot from distance but Singh was unfazed and collected the attempt with ease.

One of the most defining moments of the game came when Roy Krishna ran past Rakip and drilled the ball square into the box to find Jerry at far end but the winger went begging with inches to spare.

OFC's resolute defense was tested in the dying minutes of the game but the center-back pairing of Mourtada Fall and Carlos Delgado stood tall.

WHAT'S NEXT FOR ODISHA FC?

Sergio's men will travel to Delhi to take on Punjab FC on boxing day at the JLN Stadium for a 20:00 IST kick-off.
