The Eastern Dragons started the game brightly, with some good attacking moves and ball possession. They had a couple of chances to score in the early minutes of the game but were denied by the EBFC custodian.
In the 38th minute, the Red & Gold Brigade finally broke the deadlock when Mobashir found the back of the net with a well-placed shot. The goal was a result of a defensive error, which set up Mobashir with a perfect opportunity to put the ball beyond Amrinder's reach and into the back of the net.
In the second half, Clifford's men came out with more intent and started to pile on the pressure on the EBFC defense. They created a few good opportunities to score but were unable to convert them into goals.
However, in the 73rd minute, OFC finally managed to equalize when Nandha scored courtesy of a marauding run by Diego into the EBFC defense who cut it back for the winger to slot it home. Kamaljit had no chance as the ball went past him into the net.
After the equalizer, both teams continued to push forward, looking for a winner. However, neither side was able to find the back of the net, and the match ended with both sides sharing the spoils.
Diego Mauricio was the Hero of the Match.
