The Hero Indian Super League game between Odisha FC and FC Goa ended in a 1-1 draw at the Tilak Maidan Stadium in Vasco, Goa. Ivan Gonzalez had opened the scoring in the 42nd minute of the game while Jonathas De Jesus scored the equalizer in the 53rd minute for Odisha FC.

FC Goa got a chance to score as early as in the fourth minute of the game when Airan Cabrera tried setting himself for a volley but it was intercepted well by Victor Mongil. FC Goa tried attacking and dominated well in the first half. Odisha FC also had a few chances to score but both the custodians Dheeraj Singh and Kamaljit Singh put up a good show under the bars.

Three minutes before the end of the first half, Alberto Noguera put a brilliant ball in from a free-kick and it was slotted in past Kamaljit by Ivan as the Gaurs took the lead going into the break.

Kiko Ramirez’s boys started the second half on a very positive note. Eight minutes into the second half Odisha FC managed to equalize when Jonathas tapped the ball in after an error from Dheeraj who failed to punch the ball out. OFC looked in complete control in most of the time after that and also came very close to scoring goals.

Jonathas almost scored his second of the evening in the 61st minute and 11 minutes later, the ball hit the post when it could have been an own goal. Liridon’s kick on the rebound after that was headed by the Goan defence.

Liridon was again in action in the injury time when his curling kick went on to hit the upright and the breathless encounter eventually ended in a draw.
