Odisha FC is all set to represent India at the continental stage in the AFC Cup having been drawn in Group D which comes under the South Zone.

It is an exciting time for everyone associated with the club. The squad flew to Thailand for a 3-week long pre-season preparatory camp and touched base in Bhubaneswar on 23rd August.

The AFC Cup Group Stage Draw was held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the club was represented by General Manager Abhik Chatterjee and First Team Manager Hidayath Razi.

Club Owner Rohan Sharma expressed his thoughts on the club's AFC Cup debut:

Firsts are always important. Our first-ever AFC group is not just important to me personally. It’s life or death. We have two tough Asian clubs as well as MB who has built one of the best-ever ISL teams. Having said that, we’ve come to win.

We don’t care who is thrown at us or what their history is. We are disruptors. We are renegades. We are the berserkers that you underestimate at your own peril. We are Odisha FC. We ignore your narratives because we want to write our own.

Club President Raj Athwal said:

Representing the country and the state of Odisha on such a prestigious stage (AFC Cup) is not only an honor but also demonstrates how far we have progressed as a club.

Having secured our first trophy and now with Sergio at the helm, there is an exciting anticipation of what this great club can achieve this season. This is a pivotal year as we aim to build on the success of last season by competing in the AFC Cup, and the Hero ISL.

Ultimately, the supporters are the backbone of Odisha Football Club and together let's create more history!
