Ahead of our game against East Bengal FC tomorrow, Josep Gombau & Carlos Delgado briefed the media in Kolkata at the pre-match press conference.

Here are some excerpts from the press conference:

After your game against Hyderabad FC, you have had a long break. How excited are you to be back in Kolkata and what are your thoughts going into the game tomorrow?
"As you said we had a long break after our game against Hyderabad FC and there are 11 teams so automatically only 10 teams can play in a week. We had a good rest after which we returned to training. The boys are ready for tomorrow and we are excited to be here. I hope we can play a good game and head home with a good result."

What is your assessment of East Bengal FC?
"This year the league is equal and any team can beat anyone. East Bengal FC comes into this game with an important away win against Bengaluru FC. They are motivated but we know what we have to do to dictate the game tomorrow."

There have been 28 goals scored between the two teams in the past meetings. Are you expecting tomorrow's game to be high scoring as well?
"I hope that we can have a good game and also entertain the fans coming to the stadium with our brand of football. Of course, we want the result to be in our favor."

Carlos

Coming to play in Kolkata must be exciting for you. You will be playing in front of a very passionate home support. Your thoughts?

"I've seen all the games that have been played here and the atmosphere at the Salt Lake stadium is absolutely electric. I played here in my first Hero ISL season and enjoyed playing at this ground. We know what we have to do and it is an important game for us. We will look to go for all 3 points."
