Odisha FC

The Kalinga Warriors come into this game on the back of a narrow loss against Bashundhara Kings in the #AFCCup. Sergio’s men will be motivated to prove themselves and return back to winning ways.

After missing the game in Dhaka, Mourtada Fall returns to the team after serving a continental suspension. Narender and Aniket have joined the squad post-completion of their National Team duties for the Asian Games that was held in China and will be up for selection.

This adds a boost to Sergio’s options to field a balanced team against Goa come Saturday. The #KalingaWarriors will face a couple of familiar faces when they take on the Gaurs, Raynier Fernandes and Victor Rodriguez who were a part of Odisha’s Hero Super Cup winning squad and made their respective moves to FC Goa over the summer.

FC Goa

Manolo Marquez’s FC Goa registered their first win of the new season against debutants Punjab FC at home. The Spanish tactician although wasn’t satisfied with his squad’s performance overall.

“The best thing is that we won the game. I am very disappointed with the performance of the team. The risk is normal and you have to score in one counter-attack and finish the game but we didn't do it. We need to improve in all aspects of the game”, expressed Manolo at the post-match presser.

New recruit Carlos Martinez was on the scoresheet courtesy of a Raynier Fernandes assist in the 17th minute of the game.
