After ending the year with a convincing win over Jamshedpur FC, the Kalinga Warriors are on an 11-match unbeaten streak across all competitions under Sergio Lobera.

Also grabbing the headlines is the Odisha FC Women's Team who are on a 3-game winning streak and 3 consecutive clean sheets in the IWL 2023-24.

The squad was on a break through the New Year and has reassembled back home in Bhubaneswar to commence their preparations for defending the Kalinga Super Cup title.

 

Sergio Lobera's Odisha FC will take on Bengaluru FC in their first game of the Kalinga Super Cup at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar on 12th January for 19:30 IST kick-off.

The Kalinga Warriors beat the Blues last time out in the cup finals to clinch their first silverware since the club's inception under Clifford Miranda. This year has not been different after Sergio's side staged an extravagant comeback at home against BFC taking all three points which was the birth of a long unbeaten streak.

 

Odisha FC will be in continental footballing action later in March for the AFC Cup after the Bhubaneswar-based side executed another remarkable comeback in the group stage going on a 4-match winning streak to qualify for the next round of the prestigious Asian Cup Tournament.

 

The club's grassroots and community development department has been working tirelessly through the first week of the New Year to add value to the community based around the club. A major development was announced on the club's social media handles which was the MySheDays x OFCW partnership.

The club is dedicated to its community and aims at positively making an impact. The partnership will see 50 sanitary pads being distributed in schools, colleges, and slum areas per goal scored by our women's team in the IWL. A detailed explanation of the partnership can be found here.
